Sunday night will be special for stargazers because the Hunter’s Moon and Saturn will be viewable for us Earthlings.
Thankfully, skies will be clear for the viewing.
To get a glimpse of the Hunter’s Moon, look east toward the sunset. Views will peak at around midnight.
For Saturn, look below and left of the moon.
The Hunter’s Moon is the name for October’s full moon. It is believed to have gotten its name because it signaled the time for humans to go hunting before the winter months, according to the Old Farmer’s Almanac.

“Following the Harvest Moon, fields are typically cleared, leaves have fallen, and animals are easier to spot in open landscapes. At the same time, game such as deer and other wildlife have fattened up over the summer and early fall, making this an ideal time for hunting,” according to the Almanac.
The brighter moon also provides more light for hunters.
